Home early, well sort of...

Due to some altercations with a certain manager of a Giant Eagle grocery store and the Ohio police department, I was forced to take a bus home from Toledo, OH to Albany, GA to meet my dad and other family for thanksgiving. I will be back in Deltona on Friday. I will be posting a journal of my exciting 27 hour bus ride in the next few days, so look out for it.

The show in Ohio was good. Defeater and End of A Year are awesome, and super nice dudes. This girl Jane that we met at the show let us stay at her house, and we ate all of her food that what vegan/vegetarian, and made fun of her extreme obsession with unicorns.

Eric from DEA and NO EXCUSES is taking over my seat on drums for the rest of the tour. Luckily he went on this tour or we would all be fucked, instead of just me.

Greetings from Albany a.k.a. the town of nothing, GA

Winter Tour: Part 4

So much shit to go over. I'll just make it quick.

We got to Albany, Ny a little early and got to check out Equal Vision Records, and MerchNow. They gave us literally arm fulls of t-shirts, hoodies, cd's, tapes and 7 inches. Jack and Eric got Trial windbreakers, and I got a long sleeve Floorpunch shirt which rules. We also got some siq Alesana booty shorts to sell on ebay when we get home.

After The Fall is a great band and Man Without a Plan made me want to start a band like Fugazi.

Canada was fairly easy getting into, and the shows in Canada ruled even harder.

The show with forfeit ruled, and those dudes are super nice, and kids moshed their little arms off to them.

We stayed at this awesome dudes house in Sarnia Ontario and his mom cooked us like huge bowl fulls of vegan chilli and oatmeal, and we worked out a little on his high tech weight bench and I rode a few miles on his 40's era stationary bicycle.

Some dude was circle pitting to a band before us in Sarnia and a fucking lame ass scene kid didn't like the way he looked and kicked him in the chest. I wanted to kill that stupid scene kid for doing that. Just because someone doesn't look like you, doesn't give you the right to beat the shit out of them.

Anyways, when we crossed over back into the u.s. through Michigan, I guess they thought we were terrorists, because they made us get out of the van and take off our jackets and shoes and empty out our pockets, and they searched our van and stole some of Charles cliff bars. Fuck the police, fuck the police, fuck 'em.

the show tonight was alright. Some good bands, and I sold 4 zines. My other ride cymbal is cracked now so I have to buy all new cymbals once I get home with the little money that I will have saved from easy grocery stores.

Tomorrow we don't have a show, but we are trying to get one. My throat hurts pretty bad, and it's freezing. I don't have any food left, and I have about $30 to last me the rest of 4 weeks. It's going to be fun.

Winter Tour: Part 3

So, after staying at Chuck's (i'm pretty sure that's his name) house, we headed out towards baltimore, md. Our GPS has been fucking up lately so we just used mapquest on eric's phone. We got lost for a few minutes then miraculously found our way back to the highway. It was about an 8 hour drive and I finished the bukowski book.

We met up with Lighten Up which we haven't seen in about a year, and those dudes are awesome. Aneurysm Rats was playing also, which they rule super hard as well. It was going to be a fun show. As we were waiting to play I found a zine by the singer of Die Young in the Charm City Artspace zine library. It was one of the best zines i've ever read and I really want it.

All the bands played awesome, and Aneurysm Rats played a Ram & Ox song which was cool because that band broke up and they were awesome.

We stay at Ev from Mindsets house and "buy" some groceries from a nearby Shoppers. I haven't spent any money on this tour so far, and I've actually made like $7 from selling my zine. Ev is a super nice dude, and so is everyone that lives with him.

We wake up around 10 and goo back to the Shoppers for some more food. Great success! then we checked out the harbor and sang the pokemon theme song, and threw dried cherries at ducks.

We left for NJ around 12. The show was at a place called the Meatlocker, and we had never been there before, and we didn't have our GPS so we were kind of screwed. We drove around for at least an hour looking for it. And at one point we were actually standing outside the venue but didn't realize, and then we drove around for another hour looking for it and calling friends to see if they knew where it was.

We finally found the locker of meat (vegan of course) and loaded in. There was about 3 people there that weren't in bands but our set went well. We got paid $80 so we didn't complain.

We met RJ that is putting out "Escape" on vinyl, after the show. super nice dude. Got a G2 from CVS and headed over to this dudes house for sleep tonight. Supposedly he was going to bring Ari Katz from lifetime to come see us, but he didn't. Weired because we did a lifetime cover! haha

I just did a shit ton of school work, and now it's time to sleep, and get ready for the show tomorrow at Albert's house. NES and siq vegan food is about to go down.

Winter Tour: Part Tu

The show in Spartanburg was awesome. A bunch of kids knew the words and everybody had fun. We ended up staying at this random girl from the shows house. We get to the house (which is in the middle of no where) and I immediately smell cigarettes. There are about 3 ashtrays full of butts and ashes on every seat and leg rest. It was disgusting. Se didn't tell her parents we were staying, so we expected to wake up to yelling and fighting. I was wrong.

As I was dreaming of eating food other than moldy dumpster bagels, I hear a voice off in the distance. It reminds me somewhat of George W. Bush or Bullwinkle. As I try to ignore the annoying southern accent, I focus on the food: stacks of fresh hot pancakes covered with syrup, and mounds of mashed potatoes. Mhmm...I could almost smell it, then I felt a sudden burst of wind on my face, and the smell of vomit and cat urine. I open my eyes to find both parents in reclining chairs smoking cigarettes in their pajamas and they have just blown smoke directly into my eyes.

The father gives me a friendly "howdy fellas" and goes back to watching the tv. Which is apparently a blind man getting jerked off by a woman without a shirt on. Classy. So the mom makes us sausage and eggs, but we decline due to the vegan/vegetarian factor, and we get the hell out of there.

The show in Raleigh, NC is up next. We arrive in Raleigh around 5. The show doesn't start till 9 so we have some time to kill. We walk to Jimmy John's and get some free day-old bread. After about an hour, Jack, Charles, and I hear about an abandoned building near by. Of course we have to check it out.

It looks like an old factory that produced something that required many different sized roofs with ladders, and a large metal door. Jack managed to climb onto one of the roofs and go gallivanting. He is too scared of monsters to look around inside. We head back to the show and watch some bands. After a refused cover and a fugazi cover (both done horribly bad) we set up and play.

The show space is in a basement with a dirt floor covered in plumbing and spider webs. There were about 50 kids in there and it was awesome. We played really well and people were into it. I sold some zines and read some Bukowski that I nabbed from a bookstore.

We stayed at the house that we played at, which was a bad idea. We ended up just getting ready to go to sleep around 2. Drunk butt holes and dude bro's kept yelling and stepping on us so we didn't end up sleeping until around 4. (rock band is the worst game ever invented)

We wake up around 12 and get ready to leave. My brother and I have a moldy bagel fight with the bagels that are too far gone to eat. I lose and we proceed to drive away.

Our show in Richmond, VA got canceled but we managed to hop on a house show in Charleston or something. We got some food from a Trader Joe's and head over to the show. We get there around 6 and the show doesn't start till 9 again so more time to kill. We load up and fuck around for 3 hours. Some bands play and we play, and Charles almost breaks his knee on a speaker (he can jump really high). I sold some more zines, and we pack up and get the fuck out. The dude from Nightbear (one of the bands at the basement show) gave us a place to stay. He apparently lives with a guy in Between the buried and me, and I just met the old drummer of Kingdom. We all watched the Trial reunion DVD together and I did some school work.

More to come!

p.s. cats fucking suck!! (not really, I'm just allergic to them)

P.s.s.s.s.s. I have pictures but it's 3:01 and I am too cold to get the camera out of the van or move at all. good night.

Winter Tour: Part 1

Show last night was awesome. It was in Tallahassee at the Shed with Kids Like Us and The Mongoloids. A good amount of kids showed up and it was a lot of fun. The guy that lived next door kept coming out and smoking blunts and shoving people, but other than that it was a pretty sweet show.

We stayed at Jacks house that night and got about 100 dumpster bagels from Atlanta Bread Company, which is our food for the next few days. We drove 8 hours to Spartanburg, SC this morning, and showed up around 5. This venue is awesome, bands like Fugazi, Danzig, and Earth Crisis played here to name a few. Oh and Ted Nugent. There aren't many people here but it looks like it will be a fun show. Tomorrow is a house show in Raleigh, NC.

Keep it edge!

Blackbox, Red Jumpsuit Aparatus, and The Fest

This weekend was full of awesomeness. First No Harm Done had a show at the Black Box Collective with Shook Ones, Ramming Speed and In Defense. All of which ruled incredibly hard, especially Ramming Speed. I picked up an In Defense tape and a Ramming Speed compact disc. That night we all ate at the hospital, which has an amazingly awesome fruit salad bar, and I slept at Charles house with Jack, Shook Ones, and In Defense.

Woke up the next morning and we ended up getting an after Fest show at some warehouse in Gainesville. So No Harm Done drives to gainesville on Friday and we get there around 9. We wait around for a few hours hanging out with dudes. Our show doesn't start until 2 am, so we have to waste some time. We find out that after all of the Fest shows are over at 1:30 Paint It Black is going to play out of a u-haul trailer in the parking lot outside of The Venue.

And of course at 1:30 we all head over to the parking lot and sure enough we see a u-haul pull up. Our group starts walking towards it and the other 200 people outside of The Venue follow. So there is this huge mob of punkers walking towards the u-haul. The door opens and Paint It Black starts setting everything up. They turn on their generator and start playing "Past Tense, Future Perfect." After about 5 seconds the generator shuts off and it's just the drums and about 200 people singing along. They keep playing and it is still pretty awesome. People are jumping off the top of the u-haul into the crowd. They finish that song and then cops on horse back show up. They start blowing their whistles and shining their flashlights into people eyes. So the crowd disperses, and we head back to our van for the warehouse show.

We get to the warehouse to find about 50 people huddled outside. After a few minutes some more bands show up including Paint It Black, Trash Talk, Smartbomb, and No Trigger. Charles calls the dude that has the key to the warehouse, and he said he fell asleep and will be there in a few minutes. After 20 minutes of confusion and galaventing pass by the dudes in Trash Talk start trying to break the lock on the door. Then charles gets a text from the kid saying that he isn't comming. So we all leave with soft penises.

That night we stayed with two of Charles friends at some shitty motel and get even shittier food from stake n shake.

The next morning we drive to St. Petersburg for some lame show with Red Jumpsuit Aparatus. There are about 20 people there in a field that they hold the warped tour at. We get free vegan food, and drinks which is the highlight of the whole day. Jack boxes Tom Stevens, and some metal bands dressed up as wolf's play. I filled in for Change of Ideas for this show and like 3 other shows which is fun because they have some really awesome songs to play on drums. Then No Harm Done plays and some kids are into it. We get some more free vegan food then watch fallen from the sky cover Marylin Manson. We end up leaving around 8.

I stayed over at Charles house again because Jack, Charles, and I plan on seeing the Ergs on Sunday.

We wake up around 12 and watch Seinfeld. I got vitamin C from publix because I became sick over the weekend somehow. After consuming large doses on Seinfeld, pasta, vitamin C, and anal sex we head to Gainesville. As we are driving we smell burning rubber. Jack pulls over and realize that his tires are extremely bald, and have large rips in them. So he gets his tires replaced and we continue our trip to G-ville. We get their around 7, just in time for the ergs. This guy sneaks us in through a back entrance and we catch them a few songs into their first set. They play mostly songs I've never heard, but then announce that their second set (due to Dead To Me dropping off) is going to be DORKROCKCORKROD in it's entirety. This is the only cd I listen to religiously. Of course their set was awesome, and they even played two descendents covers including "Bikeage".

Since I was already sick, and due to the repeated kicks, and punches to the head, I wasn't feeling to well. I decide to not join Jack and Charles in their vegan hot dog meal. They take me home and I have a banana, some OJ, and vitamin c pills, and am off to bed.

This weekend was one of the best in a few months. Tour starts November 12th, and it will be my last one for a while since I have to go back to DSC to finish high school. The man is a goblin!
